Kindnesss Pathways

Positive action. Visible progress. Human support.

A calm, dignified way for organisations to set positive-action goals with the people they support, record what was actually done, and have a named human verify it.

Designed with and for programmes working alongside people rebuilding their lives — rehabilitation and resettlement, probation-adjacent support, recovery services, supported living and structured community programmes.

Pilot conversations only. There is no self-service sign-up and no online purchase.

What gets recorded

Ordinary, meaningful, verifiable actions — never a judgement about a person.

Community contribution

Volunteering and approved community projects, recorded and verified by a named supporter.

Mentoring and appointments

Attendance at mentoring, groupwork or support sessions, confirmed by the programme lead.

Training and employment preparation

Courses, certificates, CV work, interviews and steady steps towards work.

Family commitments

Kept promises to family — a call, a visit, a shared meal, being there.

Practical life skills

Budgeting, cooking, appointments, housing tasks and the everyday goals that hold a life together.

Approved local projects

Green spaces, repairs, food projects and other work agreed with the organisation.

How a Pathways circle works

The same golden path as every Kindnesss circle, with a named professional as the verifier.

  1. 1

    Agree a mission

A worker and participant agree a specific, achievable positive action.

  2. 2

    Do the thing

The action happens in the real world, on the participant's own terms.

  3. 3

    Record it

The participant records what happened, in their own words.

  4. 4

    Human verification

A named worker verifies it. Progress becomes visible and shareable with the participant.

What Kindnesss Pathways is not

  • Kindnesss Pathways is not a risk assessment and produces no recidivism or reoffending score.
  • It is not an automated decision system. Every decision stays with the humans who are accountable for it.
  • It is not evidence that anyone is legally rehabilitated.
  • It does not replace probation, caseworker, clinical or safeguarding judgement.
  • It does not convert missions into court-ordered Community Payback or unpaid-work hours unless a relevant authority has formally integrated and approved it.
  • There are no public rankings, no league tables and no public participant profiles.
  • Institutional rollout happens only after safeguarding, privacy, legal and procurement review.
  • Youth justice is a specialist future area and is deliberately out of scope for this generic institutional MVP; it would require dedicated safeguarding design.

Language matters

We talk about participants and people rebuilding their lives. Kindnesss Pathways is not endorsed, approved or commissioned by any justice, health or government agency, and no such organisation is currently a partner.
